Dorothy Wilhelm, host of "My Home Town" called one day in April and said she would like to visit The Old Cannery to perhaps do a segment on it for her Comcast TV show. I had missed her call but had left a message and said the film crew would be here early the following week and wanted to know if she could stop by before hand to get a look at our store and see if it would fit in her theme for her next My Home Town show "Sumner".  Little did I know that she had placed that call at our front door and was waiting on someone to show her around. Luckily Dennis Browe, our store manager, was here to give her the grand tour. When I did get to meet her, shortly after their tour, I found a wonderful and  delightful lady who has a bit of a  dry sense of humor that is both charming and disarming.
The following Tuesday the film crew showed up and spent over an hour in our store filming the trains and the unique aspects of The Old Cannery. Her show will be aired on Comcast Channel 76 during the month of May and On Demand in May and June.
